Elton John Concert Review
When Elton appeared onstage, a thunderous ovation greets him. I have not seen such a sensible crowd because the crowd naturally rose to their feet, only to sit down a couple of minutes later. At the end of the first song, they stood up again to show their gratitude. Typically, during the slower songs, many people sat down.
He was dressed in a black chinese style jacket that contrasted nicely against the Red Piano that was set on a black and white striped star edged in a red light. The crowd went mad when Elton played "Bennie and the Jets."
Elton was extraordinary, although his voice has mellowed with time, everyone is very forgiving because he still sounds brilliant and he gives everything to his show and everyone just loved being there. I must say He was just excellent in his concert and this was no exception.
During his performance it is observed that in real life he sounds pretty much closely like he does on his records. The highly talented band members, Elton was backed by, were Davy Johnstone on guitar, Guy Babylon on Keyboards, Bob Birch on bass guitar, Joh Mahon on percussion and the amazing Nigel Olsson on drums.
Elton performed his magic and left everyone with the feeling that there is no place like his concert venue. This show was so remarkable to me it brought tears to my eyes. I have suggested this show to many people and definitely would pay to go again.
